Welcome TO ATPDC
The DC Assistive Technology Program (ATPDC) is a city-wide program that helps District residents with disabilities get the assisted technology (AT) devices and services to live more independently.Within ATPDC, we offer three distinct programs: AT Resource Center, AT Device Load Program, and Disability Equipment Recycling Program.
District residents with disabilities have a chance to participate in demonstrations of AT devices, opportunities to tryout AT devices with out short-term device load program, and acquire new or used durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers to assist with work, life, learning and playing with increased independence.
Staff is available to help residents with demonstrations and help them compare the benefits of a broad range of equipment such as: communication aids, voice activated computers, tools for daily living, and other technology for use in the workplace, classroom and home.
